By Hand and Heart is a craft workshop for adults at the St. Paul JCC, where we enjoy creating beautiful crafts for the community in a relaxed setting.

Join Us!
Join us Tuesday and Thursday mornings from 10:00am - 12:00pm at the St. Paul JCC. Transportation and refreshments are provided.

The workshop invites both those with specific skills, as well as those who want to develop skills, to be part of the project. To create our cards, we do watercolor and acrylic painting, emboss, stencil, collage, and print. We roll beeswax candles and create items out of clay.

You will be taught skills by professional teachers and guided every step of the way. You will learn to create a variety of beautiful products. No previous experience is required. Craft items created by the workshop will be sold throughout the Twin Cities and nation wide.

Coordinator Carol Zuckman is a Judaica artist and Hebrew calligrapher, who creates ketubot and life cycle art. She also does Japanese paper marbling, printing, and collage. Her works are on display throughout the US. Carol brings her love for Jewish art and her skill in working with people to this program. She encourages the members to bring their ideas and unique abilities to the workshop.
